class hours Students will concentrate on stimulating networking among family workers thereby strengthening knowledge of available resources and the worker's ability to make accurate referrals. Additional classroom topics include home visiting, helping families access specialized services, working with different cultures, and facilitating family conferences, support groups and community meetings. Fieldwork and a portfolio will be completed and used in assessing a student's grasp of the skills and competencies required to successfully complete the course. Prerequisite: ECD 245
