This course focuses application of holistic nursing concepts and theories related to health promotion of individuals and families, health maintenance to facilitate healthy lifestyles and nursing care to meet basic human needs. It provides opportunities for continuing development of clinical competency in the performance of selected nursing skills and procedures in working with care of clients across the life span experiencing altered physiologic function. The course provides for clinical practice experiences with individuals, families and small groups of clients in a variety of acute, long term and community settings.
