The course focuses on the nursing concepts and theories to meet complex human needs of critically ill and high-risk clients with multiple system alterations in health. This includes adult clients, pediatric clients, and clients with psychiatric mental health disorders in acute care and community settings. There is a focus on application of critical thinking skills to modify a holistic plan of care. The course highlights the role of the registered nurse in health education/promotion, illness prevention and restorative care.
