The structural and functional pathophysiology of human body systems are discussed in relation to changes that occur when there is an alteration in health. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the nurse s understanding of the diagnostic and treatment modalities during the illness state and appropriate measures that can be taken to maintain the wellness state.
