The course focuses application of holistic nursing concepts and theories to meet complex human needs of critically ill and high-risk clients with multiple system alteration in health, including high-risk perinatal and adult clients in acute care and community settings. A focus on critical thinking skill application is the centerpiece of both direct care provision and care plan development. The course provides for clinical practice experiences with individuals, families and small groups of clients in a variety of acute, long term and community settings.
