Water Safety Instructor course. Designed for those who hold a current Senior Life Saving Certificate and wish to earn the Water Safety Instructor Certificate. Develops proficiency in selected swimming and water safety skills, study theory and practice methods of teaching beginning, intermediate, advanced, and lifesaving levels. Class held at YMCA pool. Does not meet the physical education requirements for completion of an Associate of Arts degree.
