Introduces criminal investigation procedures. Reviews the historical development and investigative processes related to law enforcement functions. Topics include, but are not limited to: the proper collection, organization and preservation of evidence; basic investigative tools; examining the primary sources of information; analysis of the importance of writing skills; and reviewing of the constitutional (legal) limitations of the investigation.
