This course will provide the student with an overview of the field of Family Law. The student will be able to determine the validity of a marriage, to determine the proper manner in which to terminate it; will be able to identify and take appropriate action with regard to division of property, family support and other residual problems arising from the marriage. In addition, the student will be able to identify problems of jurisdiction, enforcement, and ethics with regard to any family law dispute.
