4 Credits, 4 Class Hours CCNP 3: Multilayer Switching is the third of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) designation. Introduces students about the deployment of the state-of-the-art campus LANs. The course focuses on the selection and implementation of the appropriate Cisco IOS services to build reliable scalable multi-layer switched LANs. Develops skills with VLANs, VTP, STP, inter-VLAN routing, multi-layer switching, redundancy, Cisco AVVID solutions, QoS issues, campus LAN security, and emerging transparent LAN services. This hands-on, lab-oriented course stresses the design, implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of switched and routed environments.
