Topics include knowledge of digital transmission, various modulation techniques, error detection, data compression, encryption, protocols, ISDN and ISO standards. Presents telephone networks and characteristics, satellite communications, transmission media including copper, fiber, microwave, lightwave and the full range of electromagnetic spectrum of wireless technologies.
