3 hours credit Rape and Child abuse inquires into the phenomenon of rape, myths about rape and rapists, and the treatment of rape victims. Perspectives on child victimization are developed through the examination of several social phenomena: child abuse/ neglect, divorce, media exploitation, and sexual abuse. The psychological, familial, social, legal, and cultural contexts of victimization are discussed.
