3 hours credit This course will build on the skills acquired in MUSC-0250 and MUSC-0260. Topics that will be studied include advanced microphone techniques, digital audio recording and mixing softwares, including extensive use of automation and plugins, effect and reverb design, intonation processing, mastering techniques, audio for broadcast, sound effect recording and Foley sound effect production and use, sound for picture and dialog replacement, and the "art" of producing great soundingmixes. An emphasis will be placed on building aural skills and recording and mixing an extensive computer DAW multitrack project. Refer to 'Special Class Fees' section for currentclass fee.
