3 hours credit The second in a sequence of calculus courses for business, life science, or social science majors. This class includes a review of Calculus I and integral calculus with an emphasis on applications concerning elementary functions, functions of several variables, trigonometric functions, and differential equations. The TI-83 or 84 series graphing calculator is required. Students will be expected to use appropriate technology as one tool to achieve competency in Calculus II (Non-Engineering). Prerequisites: Grade of "C" orhigher in (1) MATH-0112, Trigonometry and MATH-0120, Calculus I (Non-Engineering) or (2) MATH-0122, Calculus and Analytic Geometry I. Mandatory placement for first time college students or first time math students is based on the ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra test. The following scores determine placement in math courses: 0-30 MATH-0097 Math Essentials 31-70 71-99 100-120 MATH-0099 Elementary Algebra MATH-0104 Intermediate Algebra Enrollment is open First-time college students who have taken the ACT or SAT within the last 24 months may be exempt from taking the placement evaluation in Math if their score is ACT 23/SAT 575 or higher in math.
