5 hours credit This course is a study of Newtonian mechanics, energy, work and momentum relations, simple harmonic motion, fluids and thermodynamics. Mathematical analysis using calculus and a greater depth of understanding of fundamental concepts is emphasized. [The student must be concurrently enrolled in NASC-1245-Engineering Physics I Lab.] The course is designed primarily for those students who are majoring in pre-engineering and is offered only in the Fall semesters. Prerequisites: Completion of Calculus and Analytic Geometry I, MATH-0122 and concurrent enrollment in or completion of MATH-0123, Calculus II.
