Cultural, ethical, and legal aspects of mental illness are discussed. The course content is organized to provide basics in order to prepare the student for NURS-0191, Mental Health/ Psychiatric Nursing. Learning experiences are designed to provide the student with the opportunity to study and become familiar with important vocabulary and basic concepts utilized in mental health/psychiatric nursing.
