3 hours credit This course will build on the skills acquired in MUSC-0250. Topics that will be studied include equipment specifications, advanced audio theory, advanced mixing and audio processing techniques, artistic application of audio processing, basic studio acoustics and design considerations, high resolution audio, and location recording. An emphasis will be placed on acquiring necessary frequency related aural skills, and recording and mixing an extensive hardware based multi-track recording project with a real band. Prerequisite: MUSC-0250, Audio & Recording Techniques.
