3 hours credit Emphasis is placed on the historical evolution of the fire service as it pertains to the equipment, organizational structures, terminology, customs and traditions. Students will be involved in looking at primary and secondary documents in developing an understanding of the fire service culture. Critical analysis and historical research will be advanced in the curriculum using local historical records and artifacts. Prerequisite: None Mandatory placement for first time college students or first time math students is based on the ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra test: The following scores determine placement: 0-30 MATH-0097 Math Essentials 31-70 MATH-0099 Elementary Algebra 71-99 MATH-0104 Intermediate Algebra 100-120 Enrollment is Open
