3 hours credit An introduction to the objectives and techniques of fire prevention and inspection programs, the course examines building and electrical codes, fire prevention codes, zoning controls, and other fire protection standards; surveys the authority and responsibilities of municipal fire inspectors; and teaches basic blueprint reading, sketching and mapping. Prerequisite: None Mandatory placement for first time college students or first time math students is based on the ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra test: The following scores determine placement: 0-30 MATH-0097 Math Essentials 31-70 MATH-0099 Elementary Algebra 71-99 MATH-0104 Intermediate Algebra 100-120 Enrollment is Open
