3 hours credit An introduction to the objectives and techniques of fire prevention and inspection programs, the course examines building and electrical codes, fire prevention codes, zoning controls, and other fire protection standards; surveys the authority and responsibilities of municipal fire inspectors; and teaches basic blueprint reading, sketching and mapping.
