1 hour credit This course establishes the basic knowledge and competencies necessary to prepare the student to function as an entry-level nursing care provider. The student will have the opportunity to practice and develop competency of basic nursing care skills in the nursing lab. Emphasis will be placed on interventions for the Basic Physiologic Domain, Client's Rights and the Well Older Client. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Nursing program and completed (or concurrent) Health Assessment course and Human Development (or Child Development).
