3 hours credit An orientation and introduction to arson and incendiarism, laws of arson, fire cause and fire and police investigation, and a technical analysis of arson and fraud are covered. Stress is placed on the collection and preservation of evidence, photography, diagrams and notes, interviewing, and the detention of witnesses. Motor vehicle fires, records, reports, briefs and court procedures are also examined. Prerequisite: None Mandatory placement for first time college students or first time math students is based on the ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra test: The following scores determine placement: 0-30 MATH-0097 Math Essentials 31-70 MATH-0099 Elementary Algebra 71-99 100-120 Enrollment is Open MATH-0104 Intermediate Algebra
