3 hours credit This course is an introduction to the fundamental, technical, and aesthetic issues of black and white photography. This includes thorough instruction in 35mm camera operation, film and print processing; basic lighting concepts and composition. Assignments will demonstrate mastery of technical skills and individual creative expression. Activities include camera operation, picture taking, darkroom techniques and procedures, and photo printing. (Students must have access to a camera.)
