3 hours credit This course is designed to familiarize you with basic camera mechanics and techniques. Though the emphasis of the course is on photojournalism and the use of photography as a storytelling device, you will receive instruction in skills that have a variety of applications. Instruction will be supplemented by discussion of the laws governing photojournalism, as well as journalism ethics. You will also learn basic darkroom techniques and digital photo editing.
