10 hours credit The EMTC-0128 course provides the opportunity to gain the knowledge and develop the skills necessary to administer basic life support care to ill or injured patients, and upon defined successful completion, apply for certification as an EMT in the state of Kansas. A minimum of ten clock hours of clinical or field work, in addition to scheduled class time, are required. This will be scheduled through your instructor. EMTC- 0128 must be successfully completed with a grade of "C" orbetter. Due to State of Kansas requirements discussed at the first class, attendance of the first class session is mandatory. Prerequisite: Accuplacer Reading score 65+ or equivalent, and Kansas First Responder Certification or equivalent or Human Anatomy and Lab (BIOL-0141) or equivalent or Human Anatomy and Physiology (BIOL-0143) or equivalent; OR Instructor Approval.
