8 hours credit The EMT courses (EMTC-0123 and EMTC-0124) provide the opportunity to gain the knowledge and develop the skills necessary to administer basic life support care to ill or injured patients, and upon defined successful completion, apply for certification as an EMT in the state of Kansas. Ten clock hours of clinical work, in addition to scheduled class time, are required. EMTC-0123 must be successfully completed with a grade of "C" or better prior to taking EMTC-0124. Dueto State of Kansas requirements discussed at the first class, attendance of the first class session is mandatory. Prerequisite: ACCUPLACER score of 65+.
