3 hours credit The focus of this course is more on how accounting is used in the decision-making process and less on complex accounting rules. It discusses the accounting cycle, accounting for merchandising operations, accounting systems, cash, receivables, inventories, fixed and intangible assets, current liabilities, corporations, bonds payable and investments in bonds, statement of cashflows, and financial statement analysis. Prerequisites: Approval of Honors Program Director. Concurrent requirement: BUSN- 0281-68 Directed Independent Study. Effective Spring 2005, if you are a Business major, you must have a "C" or better inall business courses to meet the requirements of the business degree program.
