3 hours credit Cost Accounting relates the principles and methods of analyzing accounting data for planning and control, product costing, and decision making. Emphasis is placed on job orders, process and standard cost accounting systems, budgeting, and costvolume- profit analysis. The course is designed to satisfy both those students who desire a terminal course and those who need study preparatory to taking more advanced accounting courses. Students are expected to have all assignments completed on time Prerequisite: Completion of Accounting I (BUSN- 0101) and Accounting II (BUSN-0102) with a grade of "C"or better in each. Effective Spring 2005, if you are a Business major, you must have a "C" or better in all business coursesto meet the requirements of the business degree program.
