3 hours credit To provide students interested in a health care career with a cross training of basic health care concepts and techniques which are universal skills utilized by any health care provider. Learning opportunities are provided in the areas of proper body mechanics, ambulation techniques, ADL and adaptive equipment, current documentation protocols, universal precautions, vital signs, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, medical terminology, and professional ethics/patient's rights. This course would also provide students an opportunity to explore the various health care careers currently available at KCKCC.
