Prerequisites: Admission to the paralegal program and BOT 106 or program administrator approval This course will introduce the student to the types of specialized informational resources used to perform legal research, including both print and electronic media. The student will become familiar with the major characteristics of these resources and how to use them. The student will learn how to design a research strategy, and will learn a systematic method for researching legal issues and managing the legal research process. Numerous opportunities will be provided for skill development in the use of the these resources. 3 hrs. lecture/wk.
