Prerequisite: MUS 253 or placement by instructor This is an advanced-level course for the student with at least three semesters of prior brass instrument study. Through written exercises and performance on the instrument of choice, the student will learn the advanced concepts of brass performance. Topics to be covered include the pentatonic scale, whole tone scale and melodic contours.
