This course provides in-depth knowledge and hands-on application of floral design. Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to use the principles of floral design, develop a proficiency in the techniques of line and mass arrangements, possess a greater appreciation for flowers and other plant material, apply the mechanics and design considerations involved in working with silk and dried materials, and design and create silk and dried floral arrangements. 1.5 hrs. integrated lecture, lab/wk. Associated Costs: In addition to the course tuition, fees, and textbooks, this course has additional expense considerations that are estimated to be $100 to $150.
