Prerequisite: IT 221 Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to administer an SQL server installation. Topics covered include installing, upgrading and configuring SQL servers using SQL utilities; working with databases and users; backing up and restoring databases and log files; automating maintenance tasks; managing, copying and moving data; replicating; tuning; and troubleshooting. 2 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. lab/wk.
