Prerequisite: IT 247 This course is designed to teach the student how to build, maintain and configure security on a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). It provides the student with hands-on projects to reinforce WLAN concepts from LAN cabling and other information technology and electronics courses. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to design, document and troubleshoot the security plan and operation of a WLAN. This course is also intended to prepare the student to pass the Cisco Wireless LAN Certification exam. 3 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. lab/wk.
