Prerequisites: KMRT 200 and BIOL 108/PVCC or concurrent enrollment in BIOL 108/PVCC Outpatient coding, classification, and payment systems. Assignment of CPT-4 codes to procedures and services. Common outpatient procedures. Role of the health information technologist in ambulatory coding & billing. 2 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. lab/wk. Course taught at MCC-Penn Valley Community College.
