Prerequisites: FLR 130 and FLR 150 This course will focus on the basic concepts of design for funeral bouquets, wreaths, and casket sprays. The student will learn how to combine flowers using texture, shape and color for different effects. Interesting ways to use foliage, twigs, mosses and other accessory materials will be presented along with different uses of ribbon. Topics of discussion will also include the best use of sympathy cards and how to develop a good working relationship with your funeral directors. 2 hrs. lecture and instructional 3 hrs. lab/wk. Associated Costs: In addition to the course tuition, fees, and textbooks, this course has additional expense considerations that are estimated to be $100.
