Prerequisite: Appropriate assessment test score Corequisite:EAP 120 This course, which is paired with EAP Reading and Vocabulary I, provides English as a Second Language students an integrated communicative experience at the beginning college level. As part of a Learning Community, students will learn effective writing techniques for using American English at the sentence and basic paragraph level. The course will also focus on basic study and learning strategies to aid writing. This course is the first writing and grammar course in the sequence of courses for English for Academic Purposes. 3 hrs lecture/wk. This course does not fulfill degree requirements.
