Prerequisite: FL 141 or two years of high school French In this course, students begin a more in-depth study of French grammar and vocabulary as they improve their mastery of the four communicative skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Reading assignments (from literary, journalistic and Internet sources) will be more advanced and writing assignments will be more extensive at the Intermediate level. Placement test recommended. Go to the Testing Center or to the Language Resource Center. 3 hrs./wk.
