Prerequisite: Admission to the dental assisting program Admission to dental assisting program is required. Utilizes a systems approach to the gross anatomy of the head and neck with emphasis on the maxilla and mandible and oral tissues, neuromuscular and circulatory function, supporting structures and the temporomandibular joint also study of oral embryology and histology. 1.5 hr lecture and 1 hr. lab/wk. Course taught at MCC-Penn Valley Community College, 3201 Southwest Trafficway, Kansas City, MO.
