Prerequisite: CHEM 220 Organic Chemistry II is a continuation of Organic Chemistry I, the nomenclature, principles and theories of organic chemistry, with emphasis on electronic theories and reaction mechanisms. Laboratory is supportive in nature with emphasis on developing laboratory techniques and preparation of representative compounds. Organic Chemistry II completes the study of organic chemistry designed to prepare the student for continued work in chemistry and related fields. 3 hrs. lecture, 6 hrs. lab/wk. Associated Costs: In addition to the course tuition, fees, and textbooks, this course has additional expense considerations that are estimated to be $80.
