Prerequisite: KDA 102 Admission to dental assisting program is required. Radiography history, characteristics of radiation production, film composition, x-radiation terminology, effects of radiation exposure, and protection. Exposing, processing, and mounting of radiographs taken on a radiographic manikin. 2 hr. lecture, 4 hrs. lab/wk. Course taught at MCC-Penn Valley Community College, 3201 Southwest Trafficway, Kansas City, MO.
