Prerequisite or corequisite: AUTO 125 or approval of program facilitator Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to describe manual and power steering component operation, summarize construction and operation of front and rear suspension systems, perform four-wheel alignment on current vehicles and service steering and suspension components. The student will be required to provide ANSI Z87 safety glasses and may be expected to provide other basic hand tools and/or equipment. 2 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. lab/wk. This course is taught in the fall semester. Associated Costs: In addition to the course tuition, fees, and textbooks, this course has additional expense considerations that are estimated to be $40 to $300.
