Prerequisite: AUTO 254 Upon successful completion of this course, the student should become proficient in ordering of parts, writing repair orders, presenting work orders to customers, questioning customers about automobile service problems, answering the telephone, and supervising workloads. Students will also diagnose and perform service work on student and staff vehicles. The student will be required to provide ANSI Z87 safety glasses and may be expected to provide other basic hand tools and/or equipment. 1 hr. lecture, 6 hrs. lab/wk. This course is taught in the spring semester. Associated Costs: In addition to the course tuition, fees, and textbooks, this course has additional expense considerations that are estimated to be $40 to $300.
