Admission to dental assisting program is required. Dental terminology and responsibilities of the dental assistant in the dental operatory to include patient preparation and utilization of rubber dam, matrix, anesthetics, fluoride, wedge, amalgam and composite procedure and coronal polishing techniques. 3 hrs. lecture, 4 hrs. lab/wk. Course taught at MCC-Penn Valley Community College, 3201 Southwest Trafficway, Kansas City, MO.
