Prerequisites: BIOL 135 and CHEM 122 or permission of the assistant dean This course covers nomenclature, theory and applications of basic organic chemistry and biochemistry in the area of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and enzymes. The lab activities reinforce the topics presented in the lecture. 4 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. lab/wk. Associated Costs: In addition to the course tuition, fees, and textbooks, this course has additional expense considerations that are estimated to be $80.
