This course will investigate the architecture of the Renaissance, Baroque and Enlightenment periods. A brief exploration into non-Western architecture will also be presented. The focus of this course will be on the principles of design, cultural forces and concept of the built environment within its historical context. The work of prominent architects from each period will be highlighted and analyzed. 3 hrs. lecture/wk. Associated Costs: In addition to the course tuition, fees, and textbooks, this course has additional expense considerations that are estimated to be $25 to $50.
