Prerequisites: AAC 130 and BOT 155 Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to transcribe medical reports using proper formats and transcription rules. These reports concern in-patients with a specific medical problem. Reports include history and physical examinations, radiology reports, operative reports, pathology reports, requests for consultation, death summaries, discharge summaries and autopsy reports. Students should be able to spell, define, pronounce and use medical terms in proper context and be able to use medical reference books. 3 hrs./wk.
