The first semester provides non-calculus treatment of the principles of mechanics, heat, and sound. Prerequisite: MAT 1223 with a grade of "C" or better and MAT 1233 with agrade of "C" or better or permission of instructor. The second semester provides noncalculustreatment of the principles of electricity, magnetism, and light and a brief introduction to modern physics. Prerequisite: PHYS 2014 with a grade of "C" or better.
