Medical-Surgical Nursing II provides a study of adult patients with well-defined health problems involving alteration of body regulation and integration, body defenses, gastric absorption, elimination, and musculoskeletal functions. The nursing process is utilized to formulate nursing care plans and to apply theoretical knowledge to patient situations. Expected outcomes of nursing intervention are evaluated. Correlation of theory and clinical is provided on medical-surgical units in community facilities. Prerequisites: NURS 1134, BIOL 2214, and BIOL 2224.
