ET 2454 - Industrial Control Systems

Institution:
North Arkansas College
Subject:
Description:
This course covers architecture, programming, and interfacing of representative microprocessors with emphasis on industrial control applications. It uses microprocessor-based trainers to cover instruction sets, addressing schemes, input/output control, interrupts, arithmetic operations, assembly-level programming, subroutines, and peripheral interfacing, and applies basic microprocessor theory to the operation of microcontrollers using microcontrollers common to industry. This culminates in a study of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), which trains students in typical programming and interfacing applications found in local industries. Pre or co-requisite: ET 2014.
