This course teaches new students the study skills which are necessary for success in college level study. Some of the skills which are learned and practiced by the students include library research, efficient note taking, test preparation, test-taking techniques, and effective methods for studying textbook chapters. In addition, students learn to use the college catalog and complete several interest and ability inventories which help them decide on majors which are best suited to their strengths.
