This course explores the advanced technology controls that have become common in industrial applications but are just emerging in HVAC applications. The latest HVAC control technologies will be examined, and the ability to optimize systems and minimize energy consumption will be covered. Specific coverage will include controls for heat pumps, boiler pumps, and chiller optimization. The course will also address environmental controls, wireless controls, computer controls, and building automation. Prerequisites: HVAC 1215 and ET 2414.
